Ovni guitariste-performeur-chanteur norvégien, GAUTE GRANLI véritable prodige de la chanson (dé)structurée psychédélique que l’on suit depuis ses débuts, continue ses explorations de douce folie en enfilant une fantastique collection de perles étirées à la torsion étranges, emplies de musique folk fantômes/hantantes, que l’on a l’impression de connaître de l’on ne sait où, de paroles chantées en des vocabulaires inconnus et de surgissements pop désossés par un gnome psychédélique bordélisant le tout avec des pédales d’effets. Comme toujours chez Gaute Granli, le tout fonctionne et tient magiquement « chaotiquement » debout avec cette mélancolie poussiéreuse de désespoir habitant inconfortablement et en permanence chaque palier de son fascinant univers sonore.

Out there Norwegian guitarist-performer-singer, GAUTE GRANLI, a true prodigy of (de)structured psychedelic song that we have been following since his beginnings, continues his explorations of sweet madness by donning a fantastic collection of strange twisted stretched beads, filled with ghost/haunting folk music, which one has the impression of knowing from who knows where, of lyrics sung in unknown vocabularies and of pop surges deboned by a psychedelic gnome messing everything up with effects pedals. As always with Gaute Granli, everything works and magically “chaotically” holds together with this dusty melancholy of despair uncomfortably and permanently inhabiting each level of his fascinating sound universe.
